Happy Birthday to Viv Case!
A news advert for help at RIAT first led Viv to FSDP — and what a journey it’s been since! Having just retired from the RAF, Viv was looking for a new challenge connected to aviation. Volunteering with FSDP gave her exactly that: the chance to meet great people, make new friends, and be part of a team once more.
Most importantly, Viv found a truly inspiring cause — helping people with disabilities take on the challenge of learning to fly and to “Reach for the Sky.”
in recognition of her outstanding contribution to FSDP, Viv was awarded the Douglas Bader Trophy in 2024.
