World Autism Awareness Day – 2 April

Celebrating inclusion, understanding and the power of seeing beyond what’s visible

Today we’re recognising World Autism Awareness Day by shining a light on something deeply important to our community: not all disabilities can be seen, and every individual’s experience deserves understanding, respect, and space to thrive.

Many of our scholars live with invisible disabilities — conditions that may not be immediately apparent but shape daily life in profound ways. Aviation has a remarkable way of helping people rediscover confidence, focus, and self‑belief, and we’re proud to create an environment where every scholar is supported to learn in the way that works best for them.

Inclusion isn’t just about opening the cockpit door. It’s about listening, adapting, and recognising the strengths and perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring to flying and to the world.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the courage it takes to step forward, the resilience behind every achievement, and the incredible diversity within the FSDP family.
