A very happy birthday to our incredible 2026 scholar, Vicki Griffiths.

Before a life‑changing weightlifting accident resulted in a spinal cord injury, she served her community as a dedicated firefighter — running towards challenges, not away from them. That same courage and determination now fuels her journey in the sky.

Her scholarship is proudly sponsored by Wings Around the World, the charity founded by the remarkable Polly Vacher, who flew solo around the globe to open doors for disabled aviators. 

Today we celebrate not just a birthday, but resilience, reinvention, and the power of possibility.
