Happy Birthday, Ian!

Today we celebrate Ian Rudge, a 2024 FSDP candidate who undertook our 3‑day selection process at RAF Cranwell. While Ian wasn’t awarded a scholarship this time, every candidate who completes the process has the opportunity to enjoy a one‑hour experience flight – a chance to take to the skies and feel the thrill of aviation. 

Ian recently took to the skies with instructor & Trustee, John Sorsby from Bristol Aero Club at Gloucestershire Airport. They managed to make the most of some recent winter sunshine!

On his birthday, we’re proud to spotlight Ian’s determination and remind future candidates: it’s always worth trying.
